Deputy Minister Stašek Held Talks with the Tanzanian Delegation

Deputy Minister Miloslav Stašek received Tanzanian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Susan A. Kolimba On May 2, 2017. Their talks focused on bilateral cooperation particularly in agriculture, processing of agricultural products, energy and wildlife diplomacy. The discussion also dealt with the current move of Tanzanian government structures from Dar es Salaam to the new capital Dodoma and with the political and security situation in the eastern region of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Within the visit of the Tanzanian Deputy Minister Susan A. Kolimba in the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic organized, in cooperation with the Czech Chamber of Commerce, the Czech-Tanzanian Business Forum. The meeting of entrepreneurs was attended by two dozen representatives of the business delegation from Tanzania and the same number of Czech companies. The East African country represents due to its current political stability, growing economy, strategic location in the region and rich natural reserves a great potential for Czech businesses.

During the day, Deputy Minister Susan A. Kolimba held talks also with Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Parliament Karel Schwarzenberg and with Deputy Minister of Defence Tomas Kuchta.
