Deputy Minister Šrámek Visited the State of Israel and the Palestinian Territories

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Ivo Šrámek visited the State of Israel and the Palestinian Territories on May 8–9, 2017. He led political-security consultations with his counterparts at the Israeli and Palestinian Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem and Ramallah. The consultations focused on political and security cooperation, current state-of-play of the Middle East Peace Process as well as on the security situation in the region. Ivo Šrámek also inaugurated a Czech project in East Jerusalem clinic Four Homes of Mercy.
On May, 8, 2017, Deputy Minister Šrámek held consultations with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Hotovely and the Deputy Director General and Head of the European Division Rodica Radian-Gordon at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The consultations focused on bilateral relations as well as on cooperation in economic and security area. Further, he also met the Israeli Political Director Alon Ushpiz to discuss the current political and security situation in the region.
On May, 9, 2017, in Ramallah, Ivo Šrámek was received by the Director General Amal Jadou and Assistant Minister for Multilateral Affairs Ammar Hijazi. The consultations were focused on the bilateral relationship, the Middle East Peace Process and on topical multilateral affairs.
During his visit, Deputy Minister Šrámek inaugurated a Czech project in East Jerusalem clinic Four Homes of Mercy. The project provided medical supplies and solar panels to the center that is home to 80 disabled persons.
He also met with the head of the EUPOL COPPS mission Mike Albers and with the candidate for honorary counsel of the Czech Republic in Jerusalem Dan Propper.
