MFA Hosts OSCE Security Days

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung will hold a conference OSCE Security Days on May 18 and 19, 2017 in the Czernin Palace.
The main theme of the conference is “Security Days: Countering fragmentation and polarization: Re-creating a climate for stability in Europe”. This OSCE Security Days event aims to contribute to a dialogue on how to create a stable and resilient security environment in Europe at a time of growing global uncertainty and unpredictability. It will allow for a discussion of key challenges and trends in the development of the security environment in the OSCE area and their implications for regional security and stability.
Night owl session on May 18 will focus on the phenomenon of “post-truth politics” and its influence on public opinion and political decision-making. The sessions on May 19 will look into the state of European security and prospects for the future, threat perceptions as well as countering fragmentation within and between societies.
While open to all, participation requires the submission of a Registration form beforehand. Participants are kindly requested to fill in the Registration form not later than 16 May 2017, 5:00 p.m. CET at osce.org.
