Prague European Summit 2017: Minister Zaorálek and his Austrian counterpart to address radicalization in “post-truth era”

Under the patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomír Zaorálek the third annual international conference “Prague European Summit” will be held on June 13–15, 2017, in the Lobkowicz and Czernin Palace. This forum on strategic issues of European integration will host European political leaders, representatives of business, experts from nongovernmental sector, academicians and journalists who will discuss radicalization in Europe, Brexit and future of the EU, digital single market, transatlantic relations, energy security or EU-Russia.

Minister Lubomír Zaorálek and Austrian Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs Sebastian Kurz will open the second day of the conference by the panel on radicalisation in Europe. Together with other participating ministers and important guests they will comment on the deflection from the traditional parties and confront the “post-truth politics” often leading towards the anti-system tendencies of both politicians and electorate. The ministers will also discuss the issue of radicalization of youth in particular in the context of rising threat of terrorism in Europe and its neighbourhood.

The Prague European Summit international conference is organized by the Czech leading research institutions – EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy and the Institute of International Relations Prague in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Office of the Government and The Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic. This year is also supported by the City of Prague and other partners from public and private sector.
