15 Years of Czech Participation in Civilian Missions

This year marks the 15th anniversary of commencement of deploying Czech civilian experts to civilian missions abroad. Over the past 15 years more than 300 civilian experts participated in various missions in Asia, Africa and Europe.
On June 19, 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a seminar took place aiming to appraise the work of the Czech civilian experts as well as to motivate potential candidates to join civilian missions. Among the participants there were Czech experts with experience from Afghanistan, Georgia, Kosovo, Ukraine or Palestine. The seminar was also attended by the EU Civilian Operations Commander Kenneth Deane. Opening remarks were delivered by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Petr Gajdušek and the Special Representative for the OSCE Štefan Füle.
