Deputy Minister Dürr Visited Austria

 

Deputy Minister for European Affairs Jakub Dürr visited Austria on October 6, 2017. At this occassion he held regular annual talks on the current bilateral relations and EU agenda issues with the Secretary General of Austrian Foreign Ministry Michael Linhart and the Director General for Coordination of Austrian Federal Chancellery Stefan Imhof.

The partners confirmed excellent conditon of bilateral relations between the both countries and discussed a number of concrete projects aiming at furthering the bilateral cooperation. The discussion on the EU agenda focused mainly on the issues of common interest – namely the future of EU, Brexit, migration, Eastern Partnership and EU enlargement. Additionally, preparatory work for the Austrian Presidency in the Council of EU ministers and related priorities were briefy touched upon. The both sides also exchanged their views on regional relations and assessed possible broadening of cooperation in various foreign policy issues.
