Minister Stropnický Spoke with His Ukrainian Counterpart

 

The Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Stropnický spoke with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin about the current situation in Crimea and in eastern Ukraine and about the progress of reforms.

In today’s telephone conversation, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Stropnický confirmed the unconditional support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. “We consider the illegal annexation of Crimea a serious violation of the international law”, stressed the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was interested in current situation in Crimea and in eastern Ukraine.

Minister Stropnický also spoke with his Ukrainian counterpart about the progress of political and economic reforms in the country, the fight against corruption and the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU.

He also confirmed the readiness of the Czech Republic to continue its active support of reforms in Ukraine, especially as the international coordinator in the field of education. Minister Stropnický appreciated the stabilization of Ukrainian economy, interesting for Czech entrepreneurs and investors.
