Minister Petříček met USAID Administrator Mark Green

On 18 December, Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček met the United States Agency for International Aid (USAID) Administrator Mark Green. They discussed mutual Czech and American activities in development cooperation and support of human rights and democracy. Minister Petříček confirmed the long term Czech foreign policy goals of supporting global democratic reform and continuing the program of Czech development cooperation.

The USAID Administrator highlighted the Czech democratic transition experience as an important added value in mutual projects. Subsequently, both partners discussed possibilities for more cooperation in the area of support of civil society, free media and development cooperation.
