Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Povejšil met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Matti Maasikas on November 8, 2018. Among the discussed topics were security, transatlantic relations, enlargement of the EU, Eastern Partnership and other issues.

Both countries have similar positions on a number of foreign policy issues, including EU policies and priority areas of NATO cooperation.
