The State Secretary visited the Office of Public Administration where he met with the Director General Ms. Albana Kociu. They discussed the issues of the State Service and the Foreign Service especially. The State Secretary briefly introduced the amendment to the State Service Act which came into force in the Czech Republic recently. At the Academy of Public Administration he met with the Director General Ms. Klea Maliqi and they discussed the topic of training and further education of employees and civil servants. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania he held consultations with the Deputy Minister Mr. Sokol Dedja and the Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department Mr. Andris Statoli. One of the main consulted topics were the Czech companies represented on the Albanian market and the problems they face while entering the market as newcomers.

More details about the activities of the Czech companies in the context of supporting their pro-export activities were discussed at the Ministry of Health with Deputy Minister Ms. Mira Rakacolli, at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy with Minister Ms. Bellinda Balluku, at the Ministry of Agriculture with the Deputy Minister Ms. Ermira Gjeci, with the Minister without Portfolio dealing with Business Protection Mr. Eduard Shalsim and the Deputy Mayor of the City of Tirana Mr. Arben Maznik. On these meetings focused on economic and business agenda the State Secretary Miloslav Stašek was accompanied by representatives of the Czech companies such as CZ LOKO, EGO Zlín, Budvar, Zetor and representatives of the Czech investors with specific interests to invest in Albanian agricultural and food sector and other industries.

Albania is placed in ranking of the Czech business partners from 81. to 83. place. The value of mutual business exchange reached 93,8 mil. EUR in 2018 and has increased by 31,9 % in the year comparison, of which the Czech export was 53,5 mil. EUR.
