Deputy Minister Chmelař received the Ambassador of Georgia

On February 11, 2019, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleš Chmelař received Ambassador of Georgia to the Czech Republic Mariam Rakviashvili.

Deputy Minister Chmelař highlighted a high level of bilateral relations. He emphasized that the Czech Republic remains committed to its support for Georgia's efforts to move ahead on the European and Euroatlantic path and considers the peaceful resolution, based on full respect for the principles of Georgia’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as the only way to ensure a just and lasting solution to the „frozen conflicts“.

Ambassador Rakviashvili expressed gratitude for providing coherent support to her country as for the territorial integrity and the EU and NATO integration ambitions, that remain Georgia’s top priorities. Furthermore, the Ambassador hopes that this year might witness a boost to the bilateral contacts and that a high representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take part in the international conference Georgia’s European Way“ in July.
