Seminar on Providing the Humanitarian Assistance and Safety of the Humanitarian Personnel in the Event of Armed Conflict

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a seminar on the Providing the Humanitarian Assistance and Safety of the Humanitarian Personnel in the Event of Armed Conflict on June 17, 2019. The representative from the ICRC, the President of the Czech Red Cross, representatives of relevant Czech ministries and NGOs participated in the seminar.
 

The aim of the seminar, opened by the Director of the International Law Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Petr Válek, was to discuss relevant aspects of this topic, including criminalization of the providing of the humanitarian assistance. Seminar also commemorated 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
