Deputy Minister Tlapa bids farewell to the Ambassador of the State of Israel

 

On 19 July 2021, Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa received the Ambassador of the State of Israel, H. E. Mr. Daniel Meron, on the occasion of his completion of tenure in Prague.

Deputy Minister Tlapa expressed gratitude to Ambassador Meron on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for his commitment to strengthening the wide-ranging and close cooperation and the strategic partnership between the Czech Republic and the State of Israel. Furthermore, he thanked Ambassador Meron for his involvement in various successful Czech-Israeli projects in the fields of science, research and innovation, healthcare, or culture. “Israel is our closest ally in the Middle East; we are bound by a deep friendship. We cherish our common history and traditions while cultivating sectors and fields with an outlook to the future. There is great potential in Czech-Israeli cooperation, whether in innovation technology, artificial intelligence, digitalization, health research, water management, or smart agriculture,” emphasized Deputy Minister Tlapa. He also stressed the value and scope of trade relations with Israel. Ambassador Meron highlighted the possibilities of Czech-Israeli cooperation on concrete projects in the field of innovations and new technologies. He voiced Israel’s deep appreciation of Czech Republic’s active stance with regard to strengthening and broadening the EU’s relations with Israel, as well as supporting Israel in international organizations.
