On 11 October 2021, Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa received the Ambassador of the State of Israel, H. E. Ms. Anna Azari, on the occasion of the start of her diplomatic tenure in Prague.

Deputy Minister Tlapa welcomed Ambassador Azari and emphasized the importance and scope of Czech-Israeli relations. “The strategic partnership between the Czech Republic and the State of Israel is, above all, rooted in a long-lasting, steadfast and unique friendship. Our wide-ranging cooperation reflects our common history and cultural ties as well as challenges and possibilities for the future: we continue to expand our cooperation in joint projects in research and innovation, healthcare, cyber security and defence, or sustainable technologies,” stated Deputy Minister Tlapa. “Boosting our ties in tourism and exploring economic opportunities are long-term priorities,” he added. Ambassador Azari stressed the potential of cultivating entrepreneurial cooperation, academic partnerships, and the innovative ecosystem.
