Moroccan Ambassador Saadi presented news related to the Moroccan initiative to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara by recognizing Moroccan sovereignty over the territory by the international community and at the same time granting broad autonomy to the Western Sahara region within Morocco.

Deputy Minister Tlapa assured the Ambassador that “the Czech side continued to support negotiations under the auspices of the UN”, and that “any realistic and sustainable plan based on the principles of international law should be the subject of talks”.
