Czech MFA has joined the Orange the World campaign against gender-based violence

Employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in Prague and at embassies abroad, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Jakub Kulhánek, joined the UN Women campaign against gender-based violence “Orange the World” and the16 days of activism campaign, which takes place worldwide from 25 November to 10 December.

This year's slogan is "End the violence now!" which reminds us that the problem of gender-based and especially domestic violence is even more topical this year than before, as measures against COVID-19 have exacerbated the situation of victims of domestic violence.

As in the previous year, due to the pandemic, the campaign could not take the form of a mass photograph, but the MFA staff supported it with individual pictures. Together, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they gave a clear signal that violence does not belong in our society and that we will always be on the side of the victims.
