The meeting confirmed that the cooperation between Czechia and Singapore in the field of cyber security has been intense lately. Both countries are interested in strengthening interregional cooperation between the EU and ASEAN. This cooperation is also important as both countries promote similar goals at the UN, specifically in the framework of the UN Open-Ended Working Group on security of and in the use of ICTs (OEWG). Both countries agree that they are not only concerned with the technical provision of cyber security, but also the preservation of an open, free and stable cyber space.

Cyber security, as well as, for example, new technologies, belongs among priorities for cooperation between Czechia and the countries of the Indo-Pacific region. Czechia and the EU in the Indo-Pacific region cooperate with partners both on the basis of common values and on the basis of common interests. For Czechia, it is a priority to cooperate with Singapore on joint projects, especially in the field of cyber capacity building, and to be perceived as a reliable partner that can fulfil its obligations and offers partners from the Indo-Pacific a viable and realistic option for cooperation.
