Deputy Minister Povejšil received the Delegation of the Algerian Defence Ministry

On 24 May 2022 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security and Multilateral Issues Martin Povejšil received a delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria headed by the Major General Salim Grid. They discussed possibilities of further strengthening the Czech - Algerian relations especially in the field of defence industry cooperation.
The delegations further reviewed bilateral relations, regional security and other issues of mutual interest. Algeria is an important economic partner in North Africa. The Czech Republic traditionally exports machinery, aircraft parts, transport vehicles, medical equipment, glass products, iron, steel and chemical products. The Czech Republic is also training Algerian experts and renovators of the Ahmed Zabana National Museum in Oran in restoring historical monuments as well as in museum management.
