Informal meeting of the members of COJUR Working Party as a kick-off of the Czech EU Presidency

Directors of International Law Departments of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs 27EU met in Prague on 15 July 2022 to discuss key topics of public international law, which will remain to be topical during the CZ PRES. The theme of the informal meeting focused on implications of the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine from the international law perspective.
 

Among the discussed topics was responsibility of States and individuals under international law, impact on bilateral and multilateral treaty relations with the Russian Federation, countermeasures and sanction regimes, as well as international humanitarian law.
