Statement of the MFA on the Presidential Elections in Serbia

The MFA welcomes and agrees with the preliminary statement of international observers, that the elections can be considered democratic in accordance with OSCE engagements and Council of Europe standards. The MFA sees in the election of the common candidate of democratic parties Boris Tadić as Serbian President a clear confirmation of the will of Serbian voters to continue the reform process, which will bring Serbia closer to European and Euroatlantic structures.(1/7/2004)
