As a NATO member, the Czech Republic expressed its disagreement with these tests and called on North Korea for an unconditional return to diplomatic talks also through the Statement of the North Atlantic Council.

The international community has been trying in a long term to dissuade North Korea from these provocative tests, which are a proof of the unpredictable behaviour of the North Korean regime. The North Korea, by its posession of nuclear and rocket technologies, is becoming a very serious threat not only to its neighbours, but also to the whole world. In this perspective, the Czech Republic sees the developing discussions on the possibilities of anti-rocket defense as relevant.
