MFA statement on the deadly attack against the Secretary General of Democratic Patriots party of Tunisia, Mr. Chokri Belaid

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic would like to express its indignation at the deadly attack against Mr. Chokri Belaïd, Secretary General of Democratic Patriots party of Tunisia, which took place in Tunis on 6 February 2013, and would like to address its sincere condolences and compassion to the family and relatives of the victim.

The Czech Republic strongly condemns this criminal act and would like to reassure its Tunisian partners of its solidarity. Calming the situation in the country can only be achieved through dialogue among all democratic political parties.
