Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the barbaric attack, which resulted in killing more than 20 people, of which 13 were foreign and international experts. Among the victims were the leading representatives of the UN mission and the International Monetary Fund.
This horrific act, endorsed by the Taliban, was directed against civilians, who came in good faith to help in the consolidation of the Afghan society. This terrorist attack is a gross violation of universal humanitarian law. We demand such attacks to cease immediately.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deepest condolences to the leaders of the UN and the IMF, as well as to families of those killed. We would also wish all the injured a speedy recovery.
