Statement of the MFA on the Political Agreement on Iran´s Nuclear Program

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic welcomes the announcement by the High Representative of the EU, Foreign Ministers of France, Germany, PRC, Russia, UK and USA on one side and Iran on the other side on the political agreement on the key parameters of Iran´s nuclear program. We appreciate the hard work of all negotiators.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appreciates that an understanding on the key parameters of the political agreement creates almost ideal conditions to sign a comprehensive agreement on Iran´s nuclear program by the end of June.  We want to stress that we regard this political agreement and the signature of the comprehensive agreement as important steps towards enhancing regional stability while avoiding nuclear arms race in the region.
