Statement of the MFA on Murder of PIN Employees in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic strongly condemns the attack against employees of the non-governmental organization People in Need that took place in Balkh Province in northern Afghanistan.  We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic hopes that perpetrators of the attack will be brought to justice. The Czech Republic highly respects the determination of all NGOs workers that very often accept and assume a lot of personal risk while trying to help people in difficult humanitarian situation.
