The Czech Republic Welcomes the Democratic Character and the Results of the Parliamentary Elections in Venezuela

The Czech Republic welcomes the democratic character and the results of the parliamentary elections in Venezuela on December 6, 2015 as well as the attitude of the government that respected the electoral outcome and the victory of the oposition. In the upcoming time it will be important to exchange the legislative body seamlessly in accordance with the election results.
It is evident the voters opted for change and asked the political representatives to deal with the challenges that Venezuela is facing. Only dialogue and constructive cooperation can strenghten the democratic institutions and be beneficial to all citizens.
The Czech Republic is ready to cooperate with Venezuela and its democratically elected representatives and contribute towards the support of the reform proces.
