MFA Statement on Tests of Ballistic Missiles by the DPRK

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic is concerned by the continued testing of ballistic missile technology by the DPRK, including yesterday’s missile launch. Ballistic missile launches constitute a clear violation of DPRK’s obligations under multiple UN Security Council Resolutions, including Resolution 2321 adopted in November 2016.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic urges the DPRK to halt all launches using ballistic missile technology, to comply with all its international obligations under UN resolutions on ballistic missiles and nuclear program, to refrain from any actions that could increase regional tensions and to re-engage in a meaningful dialogue with the international community, in particular the Six-Party Talks.
