On Sunday September 3, 2017, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) carried out another, already sixth nuclear test. This happened despite all the previous urgent appeals of the international community to abandon missile and nuclear tests by the DPRK.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic strongly condemns both the nuclear and missile tests of the DPRK, which represent a flagrant violation of the DPRK's obligations under relevant UN resolutions, undermine the stability of the Korean Peninsula and of the entire region, threaten international peace and security and lead to further deterioration in the living standards of its citizens.
The Czech Republic urges the DPRK to refrain from any such destabilizing activities and to immediately comply with all its international obligations.
