Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic on so-called elections in the breakaway regions of Georgia

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic is concerned about the developments in the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in Georgia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to emphasize that it recognizes neither the so-called parliamentary elections to be held in South Ossetia on June 9, 2019, nor the so-called presidential elections in Abkhazia to be held on August 25, 2019. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its full support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
