The Moroccan armed forces are currently leading the operation here to end the blockade of the border crossing and restore the free movement of goods and people. Together with other EU countries, we welcome Morocco's commitment to maintaining the 1991 UN-brokered ceasefire, and we call on the Polisario Front to do the same. At the same time, we support the early resumption of political dialogue under the auspices of the United Nations to find a lasting solution to the future of Western Sahara within the principles of international law.
