Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the ceasefire reached between Israel and Hamas

MFA welcomes the ceasefire reached between Israel and Hamas. Czech Republic supports all diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and resolve the conflict in a way, which guarantees the security of Israel and the perspective for peace negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians.

Nevertheless, we should not forget that Israel acted in self-defense and this right should never be questioned.
