The bilateral relationship with Ghana is active. Since 1959 when diplomatic relations were established, both countries have maintained full-fledged Embassies. Over recent years, the relationship has strengthened, with the Czech Republic maintaining in Ghana the biggest share of its commercial activities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
