Minister of Foreign Affairs Lipavský with Minister Hubáčková began the campaign Czechia4Climate

On Tuesday, September 12th a joint press conference will take place in Czernin Palace with Minister Lipavský and Minister Hubáčková that will kick off the Czech EU Presidency campaign #Czechia4Climate.

In one week, from September 12, 2022, the Czech Presidency in the Council of the EU is hosting several events to support the protection of climate, environment, and biodiversity in the world. With this step, Czechia wants to acknowledge its responsibility in solving such a fundamental global issue as climate change.

The so-called green diplomacy is one of the priorities of the Czech presidency. Czech diplomacy strives to link climate security and development and humanitarian cooperation, especially in the area of disaster risk reduction.

The essential task of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU is the successful organization of international environmental conferences, such as the UN Climate Conference COP27 in Egypt and the UN Conference on Biodiversity COP15 in Montreal.
