Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr., Jakub Kulhanek has opened tonight in Czernin Palace the Transatlantic Policy Forum.

 

In his opening remarks he emphasized the central role of the strong transatlantic bond for the security in Europe and the importance of the close cooperation of the NATO and EU. 

He referred also to the current situation at the Polish - Belarus. "Each of the organization has a role to play. But it is those two working together, each contributing with its own tools to the common goal of repelling this hybrid attack that can persuade Minsk that it cannot succeed", said Minister Kulhanek.  
 
The fourth annual Transatlantic Policy Forum is being organized by the MFA in cooperation with Institute Europeum, the German Marshall Fund of the United States and International Republican Institute. The CDA a.i. of the Embassy of the United States  Ms. Jennifer Bachus and Director of Europeum Mr. Zdeněk Beránek spoke at the opening along Minister Kulhanek.  The forum is attended by Deputy Assistant Secretary for Central and Eastern Europe Robin Dunnigan, together with representatives of a number of governmental and non-governmental institutions from both sides of the Atlantic. 
 
The Forum continues on Friday 19 with panels focusing on disinformation, climate change, energy security and Transatlantic trade relations. Speakers will include experts from the Czech Republic, USA, France, Germany and other countries.
