Informal meeting of V4 Ministers of Foreign Affairs


On 19 July 2021, the traditional informal meeting of V4 Ministers of Foreign Affairs took place in the Hungarian town of Komárom, marking the beginning of the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group (1 July 2021 - 30 June 2022). 

The meeting in this format is organized usually once during the V4 Presidency and is dedicated to an informal and frank discussion about topical EU and foreign affairs issues.

The meeting was hosted by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Mr Péter Szijjártó, the other participants included Minister Zbigniew Rau from Poland, Minister Ivan Korčok from Slovakia and Deputy Minister Jan Kohout as the head of the Czech delegation. Ministers have exchanged their views on the future of Europe, on the perspectives of the EU enlargement, on the current pandemic situation and have agreed that the V4 countries will assist Lithuania which is facing unprecedented migration pressure from Belarus.
