Ambassador J. Baloun met with Harirod Group of Companies representatives

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Afghanistan Jiri Baloun hosted Vice-President of the Harirod Group of Companies, Mr. Mohammad S. Hakimi and General Manager Mohammad R. Amiri at the Embassy on 24 September 2020.

The subject of the meeting was the interest of the Kabul-based group of companies in the supply of Czech goods in construction projects and the development of relations with Czech companies. The Harirod Group of Companies is currently the main contractor for the construction of the airport in Khost Province, and is interested in Czech subcontracting. It is not without interest that the Afghan trade representation of the Czech footwear brand Prabos, which is popular among Afghans, is part of the same group.

Founded in 1993, the Harirod Group of Companies focuses on construction, trade and manufacturing. As a leading Afghan employer, Harirod Group of Companies is actively contributing to job creation. Its goal is the raw material and production self-sufficiency of Afghanistan. Ambassador Baloun praised Harirod's ambition to improve people's daily lives and emphasized the importance of job creation for the next generation of Afghans.
