Ambassador J. Baloun met with NGOs directors to discuss development projects

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Afghanistan Jiri Baloun received directors of two non-governmental organizations focused on development projects: Samiullah Khan of AHOWC (Active Help Organization for Women and Children) and Zabiullah Danish of ROAWC (Relief Organization for Afghan Women and Children) on 24 August at the Embassy.

Ambassador and directors discussed in this year successfully implemented Czech development projects: a hydroelectric power plant in Kunar Province and a computer lab at Kabul Girls' High School. Ambassador Baloun commended the work of both NGOs, underlining their effort to improve the level of education and quality of life of Afghans contributes to the overall peace and prosperity of all people.

Both directors thanked Ambassador Baloun for his support and presented proposals for new projects that could ease everyday lives of local people in the future: building a bridge over the Kunar River in Kunar Province and drilling drinking water wells in Nangarhar Province.
