Contract signed: Czechia will donate decontamination units to MoPH of Afghanistan

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Afghanistan Jiri Baloun was received by the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Ahmad Jawad Osmani on 12 August 2020.
 

During the meeting, participants shared information on COVID-19 pandemic impacts and measures taken in Czechia and Afghanistan. They also used this opportunity to discuss the current political situation and state of the peace process in Afghanistan.

Ambassador Baloun praised the work of Minister Osmani and his colleagues, assuring him of the Czech Republic's continued support and expectations of further developments in Afghanistan, particlularly improvement of security situation, intra-Afghan negotiations and further development of progress made in the past nineteen years, primarily in defence of principles of the republic, human rights, anti-corruption, and improvement of living conditions of Afghan citizens.

At the end of the meeting, ambassador Baloun and Minister Osmani signed contract concerning Czech donation of ten efficient units of air filtration and surface decontamination equipment to be utilised in Afghan hospitals, schools, and other public buildings. On this occasion, Ambassador Baloun wished Minister Osmani, the entire government and the Afghan people, success in their further work and, above all, in the pursuit of peace in Afghanistan.
