Project completed: computer classroom at Kabul Girls' School inaugurated

As part of the small scale projects of the Czech Development Cooperation, a computer lab was fully equipped and inaugurated on 23 August 2020, thanks to which students of the Kabul Girls' Mano Chehri High School can get acquainted with the use of a computer and electronic data processing.

The grand opening of the brand new computer classroom took place on the occasion of the start of the new school year on 23 August 2020 in the presence of teachers and the headmaster, who thanked the Czech Republic and the Embassy in Kabul on behalf of the school for supporting the education of Afghan female students. The project was implemented in cooperation with the non-profit organization ROAWC (Relief Organization for Afghan Women and Children).

The students were indescribably enthusiastic about the classroom, which allowed them to use computers for the first time in their lives. The twelfth grade student even said that the computer was a dream come true for her. From now on, Mano Chehri High School students will be able to try on computers everything they have only been able to read about in textbooks. Before graduating, they will learn the basics of working with a computer and operating a printer.
