Priority topics for this year are the following:

1. Transparency on regional and local level
   a. Promotion of informed decision-making and transparent local election campaign,
   b. Quality content of local independent media outlets,
   c. Transparency of decision-making and use of public funds in healthcare and education

2. Access to information and protection of human rights in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and Crimea
    a. Access to truthful information,
    b. Protection of human rights and human rights defenders

3. Right to a safe, healthy and ecologically-balanced environment
    a. Support of civic participation in finding solutions to specific ecological problem in the region,
    b. Environmental education and promotion of ecological responsibility.

Eligible applicants are non-profit civil society organizations officially registered in Ukraine. The average contribution will be in the range of 500 000 - 1 600 000 UAH for each individual project. The implementation period is estimated to be 8 months from March 2020 to October 2020.

Applications should be submitted electronically to grants.ukraine@mzv.cz on official project and budget forms by 2 January 2020. Applications sent after the deadline will not be accepted.
