Czech Participation at Metaltech 2017 Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur

Four Czech businesses (Pavliš & Hartmann, BAC Holding, Solbien and Smart Heating Technology) participated in the Metaltech 2017, the biggest metalworking and machine tools exhibition in Malaysia, which was held on 24th-27th May, 2017. The Czech participation, enabled by the Embassy of the Czech Republic, which provided an exhibition booth, and further supported it through holding a seminar with business matching titled "The Czech Republic Solutions for Cleaning, Decontamination, Waste to Energy and Fire Protection in Industry".

Metaltech 2017 was the 22nd installment of the biggest metalworking and machine tools exhibition in Malaysia. This year, 2000 companies from 38 countries participated, with attendance of 20.000 visitors (the exhibition was not open to general public). Apart from machine tools and metalworking, the exhibition's theme was Industry 4.0 (robotization and automation of production and related processes).

The Embassy of the Czech Republic hosted at its booth the company of Pavliš & Hartmann, a manufacturer of firefighting equipment, represented by Mr. Pavel Pavliš, Solbien, a manufacturer of composting container EWA and Smart Heating Technology,which in cooperation with Solbien developed an integrated waste to energy solution from biowaste, represented by Mr. Tomáš Ledajaks, BAC Holding, a manufacturer of innovative nanotechnology and biotechnology based agents for degreasing, decontamination and cleaning, represented by Mr. Jan Brož.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic organised seminar with business matching during the exhibition titled Czech Republic Solutions for Cleaning, Decontamination, Waste to Energy and Fire Protection in Industry. 

The seminar was open with introductory remarks by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic H. E. Rudolf Hykl and a presentation of opportunities in the Czech manufacturing industry by Mr. Vojtěch Hromek, economic officer of the Embassy. This part was followed by individual presentations of the participating Czech businesses, concluded by a handover ceremony, whereby Mr. Pavel Pavliš of the Pavliš & Hartmann company officially donated the Poseidon floating pump to the Head of Fire and Rescue Operations Division of the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia, Mr. Zurkarnain Bin Mohd Kassim. The seminar concluded with a business matching session, during which the participants had an opportunity to directly engage with the Czech businesses for more detailed discussions.
