Czech Green Technology Manufacturers on Business Mission in Malaysia

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur organized a mission of Czech manufacturers of green technologies to Malaysia on the 4th – 8th October, 2016. Five companies, BAC Holdings, AVAS Export-Import, Solbien, ASEAN Engineering and Flo-Bro, took part in the Czech Green Technology Business Forum with matchmaking in Kuala Lumpur. The event, in which the Czech firms presented their products and services in the area of solid waste recycling, cleaning of drink water, ecologic protective paintings and degreasing solutions, among others, raised an active interest of 70 representatives of Malaysian enterprises and the international business community.

The members of the Czech green technology business misson also visited Melaka, where in the Melaka Green Technology Corporation they discussed business opportunities in this state, which has set the development of green technologies as its priority. The Embassy of the Czech Republic organized also in Kuala Lumpur a visit of the water sewage treatment plant, during which the participants learned about the technolgy used by the IndahWater corporation.

The Czech green technology producer´s furthermore had the opportunity to introduce their products and services at the Czech Embassy´s booth at the IGEM Exhibition 2016, which took place on 5th – 8th October, 2016, in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The exhibition is the largest in South East Asia. The Czech Embassy, in cooperation with organizers of IGEM 2016, arranged also for business meetings of Czech companies with representatives of different Malaysian states. Czech entrepreneurs had the opportunity to participate in accompanying activities organized by EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic organized on the 7th October, 2016 on the occasion of the business mission a networking reception, in which 60 representatives of major Malaysian companies from areas such as energy, real estate, civil engineering and waste management took part.

The mission of Czech green technology manufacturers was the biggest presentation of the Czech Republic in Malaysia in this sector. The Embassy of the Czech Republic collaborated in the course of its preparation with Greentech Corporation of Malaysia, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers, SME International Trade Association of Malaysia, EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, MIDA, MATRADE and other associations and government agencies. The business mission was initiated and organized by the Czech Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and financed from the fund for the “Projects for the Economic Diplomacy” of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
