Tradition of almost 200 years, production of 4 million rounds per day. Also such facts describe a Czech company whose matches have already been used by cowboys in the Wild West. They called them "s-b". Sellier & Bellot is a firearms and ammunition manufacturer situated in  Vlašim, Czech Republic. Sellier & Bellot has been producing ammunition since 1825 and since 2009 is a subsidiary of the Brazilian company CBC.

The Vlašim company Sellier & Bellot was established almost 200 years ago. It supplies ammunition for the Olympic Games or armed forces throughout Europe. Take a look on another part of the unique series We know what we have to support the Czech defense industry.

 

 

Sellier & Bellot is one of the oldest companies in the field of ammunition production and defense industry. The Czech-German businessman of French origin Louis Sellier was at the birth of the company.

His family supported the French king and were forced to flee France during the French Revolution. The Prague company Louise Sellier initially produced signal ammunition for infantry to order of Emperor Francis I.

Today, it produces up to 4 million rounds a day. "Safety, reliability and accuracy are most important to us," says director Radek Musil. The production is also unique in that they design most of the machines and tools themselves.

The company is one of the most important industrial companies in the Czech Republic. The product portfolio includes a wide range of hunting and sports ammunition and components for pistols and revolvers, rifles or shotguns.

 

Sellier & Bellot supplies ammunition, for example, for the Olympic Games. It is also a major supplier of ammunition to military and police forces around the world.

It was founded in 1825 and is one of the world's oldest companies in the ammunition and defense industry.
