The reception took place on 8 May 2019 in the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The guests – representatives of the Malaysian government and State institutions, diplomatic corps, entrepreneurs and businessmen, representatives of universities and social life among others - were invited by the Delegation of the European Union in Kuala Lumpur together with each one of its member states. The Malaysian government was represented by the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Honorable Tuan Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman as the guest of honor.

The Czech booth which showcased, beside of the traditional food and beverages, also brochures and information about the Czech Republic, gained high popularity among approximately 400 present guests. The Delegation of the European Union and the member States organize the Europe Day in Malaysia every year with the objective to present joint European  ideas, shared values, and also the diversity and unique characteristics and specifics of each one of its members.
