Czech Republic is New Member of EUNIC in Malaysia

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur has joined officially the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) Cluster in Malaysia. On 21 July, 2020, the Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Filip Kanda signed the MoU and EUNIC Cluster documents in the presence of EUNIC Malaysia President, Miss JoAnna E. Jurczyga from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur and the Vice–President, Mr. Jacques Bounin from Alliance Francaise de Kuala Lumpur and other Eunic Malaysia members.

The objective of EUNIC is to create effective partnerships and networks between European Union National Institutes for Culture to improve and promote cultural diversity and understanding between European societies and to strengthen international dialogue and cooperation with countries outside of the European Union.

The membership in the EUNIC Cluster will also enable the Embassy of the Czech Republic to participate and co-ordinate diverse cultural activities in Malaysia in better conditions and effectivity. One of them is the participation of the Czech Republic in the project Europe in Cinema, where the Embassy of the Czech Republic will present the Czech film “Bikers”. Then, in September the participation of the Czech Republic in the European Day of Languages is planed again, among others.
