Deputy Minister Kuchta  visited Malaysia in connection with the Czech Republic´s official participation in the  Defence Services Asia 2014, which is ranked as one of the top five defence shows in the world.

Czech Deputy Minister held talks  also with his counterpart Deputy Minister of Defence of Malaysia Mr. Abdul Rahim bin Bakri, Chief of Defence Force of Malaysia Gen. Dr. Zulkefli bin Mohd Zain, Chief of Army of Malaysia  Gen. Raja Mohamed Affandi, and Vice Chancellor of National Defence University of Malaysia Gen. Zulkifli bin Haji Zainal Abidin.

During the discussions, Malaysian officials praised the technological level and utility value of defence equipment, which  the Czech Republic supplied to Malaysia.

The Czech Republic was represented at the DSA 2014  by a 33 people strong business mission, consisting of 16 companies showcasing products ranging from radar technology, communications equipment, hand guns, ammunition, optical instruments, cables,  lighting devices, individual protection equipment, etc.  Czech official participation was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic.
