Required documents

Along with the application, you must submit:

1. a　travel document　(original),
2. Invitation to visit CR (verified by the　Foreign Police inspectorate　– document proving the commitment of the inviting person, that he/she will cover expenses for: subsistence for the invited person for the whole duration of his/her stay on the territory until departure,
   • • accomodation of the invited person for the whole duration of his/her stay on the territory until departure,
     • granting a medical care of the invited person for the whole duration of his/her stay on the territory until departure, including a transport of the ill person to the hospital or his remains,
     • other expenses necessary for the stay of the invited person and his departure from the territory (the cost incured to CR arising from a stay and a departure within the administrative expulsion of the foreigner),
3. proof of accommodation,
4. proof of finance,
5. 2　photographs; not necessary if a pictorial recording has been made of the foreign national,
6. a　consent of parents,
7. a　document similar to an extract from the Penal Register record, issued by the state of which you are a citizen, as well as the states in which, in the last 3 years, you have resided continuously for a period longer than 6 months, or a signed affidavit in the event that this state does not issue such a document (not required from a foreign national under 15 years),
8. upon request a document proving the fulfilment of conditions set out in the measure of Ministry of Health on prevention of the spread of infectious illnesses.

If your application is approved, prior to affixing the visa, you are obliged to submit a proof of medical travel insurance　that corresponds to the specified conditions (not required if the foreign national subscribes to public health insurance or if the costs for health care are covered on the basis of an international agreement or if the foreign national can demonstrate that health care is covered in another manner), and, upon request, a document on paying the insurance presented in the proof of medical travel insurance.

 

FAMILY

Required documents

Along with the application, you must submit:

1. a travel document (original),
2. a  document on the purpose of your stay– the confirmation of the natural or legal person pursuing cultural activities on the Czech territory u
3. proof of accommodation,
4. proof of finance,
5. 2 photographs; not necessary if a pictorial recording has been made of the foreign national,
6. consent of parents,

upon request you are further obliged to submit

• < > document similar to an extract from the Penal Register record, issued by the state of which you are a citizen, as well as the states in which, in the last 3 years, you have resided continuously for a period longer than 6 months, or a signed affidavit in the event that this state does not issue such a document (not required from a foreign national under 15 years),

  a document proving the fulfilment of conditions set out in the measure of Ministry of Health on prevention of the spread of infectious illnesses.

STUDIES

Types of visa

If the university/program is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, you are eligible to apply for a long term-visa for the purpose of study.

If the university/program is not accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, you are not eligible to apply for this type of visa and you have to apply for the long-term visa for the purpose "other".

If the confirmation of enrollment issued by the school contains a statement that the student will be entered in the Register of Students "matrika studentů" together with the registration number, the purpose of the visa is "study".

Processing time

A long-term visa must be approved by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.

The long-term visa for the purpose of study shall be processed within 60 days from the date the Embassy receives the complete application.

The long-term visa for purpose "other" shall be processed within 90 days from the date the Embassy receives the complete application.

Please understand that the Embassy is not able to speed up the visa approval process as it is decided by the Ministry of Interior of in the Czech Republic. Therefore, the Embassy encourages applicants to submit their applications on time.

Required documents

Along with the application for a long-term visa, you must submit:

• a document on enrolment in studies,

• proof of funds,

• < >document similar to an extract from the Penal Register record, issued by the state of which you are a citizen, as well as the states in which, in the last 3 years, you have resided continuously for a period longer than 6 months, or a signed affidavit in the event that this state does not issue such a document (not required from a foreign national under 15 years).

• The requirements for the application shall not be older than 180 days except for the travel document and the photograph of the foreign national if it corresponds to his/her actual appearance.

  A long-term visa for the purpose of studies is issued for a period that is demonstrated with the confirmation of studies, however, not longer than 1 year.

   

• If your application is approved, prior to affixing the visa, you are obliged to submit a proof of medical travel insurance that corresponds to the specified conditions (not required if the foreign national subscribes to public health insurance or if the costs for health care are covered on the basis of an international agreement or if the foreign national can demonstrate that health care is covered in another manner), and, upon request, a document on paying the insurance presented in the proof of medical travel insurance. The Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals sets a standard deadline of 60 days for processing an application from the time of filing it.

　

BUSINESS

3. proof of funds,
4. proof of accommodation,
5. 2 photographs; not necessary if a pictorial recording has been made of the foreign national,
6. a consent of parents.
7.  a document similar to an extract from the Penal Register record, issued by the state of which you are a citizen, as well as the states in which, in the last 3 years, you have resided continuously for a period longer than 6 months, or a signed affidavit in the event that this state does not issue such a document (not required from a foreign national under 15 years).
