Superlegalization (higher authentication) of documents issued by the Kuwaiti or Qatari official authorities

Superlegalization is a higher authentication process of a foreign public document that confirms that the document was issued by an official authority in the document’s country of origin. The Embassy receives a list of authorized persons and offices of the country of what consular territorial competence is responsible for via a notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Superlegalization is being done by the Embassy by verification of the signature/official stamp/official seal on the original document.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuwait has a consular territorial competence for the State of Kuwait and the State of Qatar.

Certain documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, criminal record characters, university diplomas etc.) that are to be used and submitted in the Czech Republic for various reasons (e.g. marriage, application for a long-stay visa etc.) are required to be superlegalized. This requirement quells from the demands of various authorities. The superlegalization process applies to countries that did not sign Hague Convention; it is for both of the State of Kuwait and the State of Qatar. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuwait can authorize only documents originated in both Kuwait and Qatar.
