Czech Christmas concerts

On December 12 and 13, 2015, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the parish of Ljubljana – Trnovo and municipality of Škofja Loka held two Christmas musical poetic performances interpreted by the actor and recitor Mr. Alfred Strejček (reciter), Ms. Halina Františáková (violin) and Ms. Eliška Novotná (piano) with the name of Christmas country is my goal.

In the poetic series with Christmas theme, Mr. A. Strejček introduced poems of Czech authors – Fráňa Šrámek, Karel Jaromír Erben and Jan Amos Komenský. Texts of Slovenian poets Lojze Grozde and Kajetan Kovič were added to the series.

 Both concerts were opened by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana, H.E. Věra Zemanová who in a short speech thanked to all the co-organizers of the concerts for their cooperation and wished Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the audience of concerts. The mayor of the city of Škofja Loka Mr. Miha Ješe thanked the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana for the organization of this cultural event.
