Book of Condolences to commemorate the passing of the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jaroslav Kubera

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana opened the Book of Condolences on Friday 24th of January and Monday 27th of January 2020 in the memory of the deceased President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jaroslav Kubera. Among many others their condolences expressed also the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Dejan Židan and the President of the National Council Alojz Kovšca. The Embassy dedicated to the memory of Jaroslav Kubera two concerts with the minute of silence.
 

Their deepest condolences have written into the Book of Condolences the Ambassador Juraj Chmiel, Presidents of both chambers of the Slovenian Parliament, members of the diplomatic corps and the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. The Embassy would then hand over the book to the family of Jaroslav Kubera.

The two concerts of the Prague female vocal choir Carmina Bohemica took place on 24th and 27th of January 2020 in the Church of St. John the Baptis in Ljubljana and in the Sokol House in Škofja Loka. More than 120 guests from the diplomatic corps, Czech compatriots and representatives of the Slovenian political and cultural life attended the two events. During the both concerts, the minute of silence in commemoration of Jaroslav Kubera was held.
